All Saints Church in Blackheath

All Saints Church in Blackheath

(Paper Print or Canvas)
A lovely Sunday hike from Greenwich brought me upon this beautiful church at the top of a hill with magnificent views looking back at London. The log in the front is actually a superimposition of a lampshade placed sideways! I imagine this would make a lovely print in any gallery or home!

Juxtaposed against one-another, graffiti can tell so much about the inner workings of a city. With it's colorful designs and telling messages, these cultural messages complement this piece against a splash of vivid red. A beautiful British modern art piece.

Every Dog Has Its Day

Every Dog Has Its Day

(Paper Print or Canvas)
Street art in London makes for fantastic wall art! This was such a cool mural I saw a street in East London! And I loved juxtaposing the hot dog sign next to it.

Cocktails Under a Bridge

Cocktails Under a Bridge

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This bar was charmingly hidden under the the Embankment Bridge and a perfect spot for a cheeky rendezvous. I can imagine many watercolor paintings being painted in this spot.

Modern Day Etching

Modern Day Etching

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This print resembles what we might call a modern woodcut. Through photo montage, we see a series of books imposed upon the truck and a background of world's currencies. This work shows how the global and European economies today can be camouflaged beneath traditional values of the past.

London Night Scene

London Night Scene

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This print brings together multiple views of London after dark, including the inside of a theatre, capturing the hub-but which makes London so exciting. Wonderful British artwork you can enjoy for years on end.

Astley‘s Circus

Astley‘s Circus

(Paper Print or Canvas)
London's permanent blue plaques mark the residences of their famous inhabitants. You can find them all over the city. This one was recently unveiled in Waterloo's Cornwall Road to mark the 250th anniversary of Astley's Circus performance widely regarded as the start of the modern circus tradition.

Prosecco

Prosecco

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This charming sewing machine was in the window of an old antique store in a small town just south of London. I added some book covers from a neighboring book store and a glowing sign to add some modern colors to this artwork.

Joy Through Cake

Joy Through Cake

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This colorful print is ode to consumerism. I fall in the trap of "eating cake" all the time! With it's joyful colors and patterns is enough to cheer up any wall in any of the rooms in a home.

December

December

(Paper Print or Canvas)
London is so festive in December. The British love their festivities. I love how store windows glitter around Christmas-time. This is something you might see in an art gallery. To celebrate "December", I made this piece in honor of the month's birthstone, Turquoise, which also happens to be mine!

Brothers Merchants

Brothers Merchants

(Paper Print or Canvas)
I love the red in this print which was taken in an underpass. You can see a merchants sign in the background contrasted against the shiny glass of a tall building on the left. The old and the new, side by side in London! Give it a try on your dining room wall!

Head in the Clouds

Head in the Clouds

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This print is a nod to my favorite surrealist painter whose identity I am sure you can guess. You don't often see such bright blue skies in London so I was glad I could capture this in a photograph and turn it into a piece of art!

Thames Night View

Thames Night View

(Paper Print or Canvas)
The Thames shimmers looking like an oil painting in the foreground of this collage of photographs. This type of photography is the dream of an artist. The skyline on the horizon looks like a painted one too. And the price tag in the front suggests a better price is needed for the above.

Skateboard Graffiti

Skateboard Graffiti

(Paper Print or Canvas)
There’s a space under a building space on the Southbank where you can watch daring skateboarders close up. It’s been their home in London for many years. This image reminds me of pop art. There was a campaign to close this area down but it’s still there and hopefully will be for many years.

Gerrard's Cross

Gerrard's Cross

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This print is for Gerrard's Cross, a small town towards the south of London represented by this statue of Gerrard with his shovel. It's named after the Gerrard family who in the early 17th century owned a manor here. Seen in this piece is a statue commissioned in the 1980s that the British commemorate the “Unknown Navy” – it stands for all the people, particularly men, who built the railways.

Barber Shop

Barber Shop

(Paper Print or Canvas)
This print is the result of being lost in London and wandering around taking photographs until it was dark. I liked the twinkling of all the lights and tried to bring them all together in one place. Some say it has the likeness of a watercolor painting.

So Many Delights

So Many Delights

(Paper Print or Canvas)
In today's "selfie" society, we give little thought to what's around us. I saw these combinations of words at the Tate Modern and brought them together in this print to assemble a homage to self-love with this modern art. The astronaut falling off the roof represents the heights and lows we can reach.

Princes Risborough

Princes Risborough

(Paper Print or Canvas)
Princes Risborough is a small town in Buckinghamshire. "Risborough" meant 'brushwood-covered hills'. The Black Prince, eldest son of Edward III, ran the manor in the 14th century. It's a lovely spot that even welcomes visitors like me! I envision this print hanging on the wall of a neighborhood house.
